Yesterday was my
sis's birthday. And her presents were all
super expensive! (not fair!) >.< I mean, she got a $400
digital cam from my dad (I
don't even have one btw), and some really funky stuff from my mum, & I bought her this really cool blue-based __ too. I could tell she liked it. (: So anyway, it'll be good to have 3 cameras at home, so whenever I feel like it I'd just "borrow" hers.
hehe..
On friday was our
Prefects' Investiture, & I saw 3 ny councillors around!! Xi Zhi & Cindy! I could find them out a
mile away because of the bright yellow blazers! I was singing with the choir, so was facing them almost directly in the amphi. It was so nice to see old friends! (:
So after that school ended at about 10am, so some of us went to hang at Orchard. Met Petrina along the way, so Chay, pet and me went to watch a movie at Lido. Initially we wanted to watch The Last Samurai, which I've heard is a super good movie, but they didn't show it anymore! I couldn't believe it. So we ended up watching
Along Came Polly, which is this totally forgettable movie with no moral or thought of the day. I actually forgot I even watched it. But there were some funny bits here and there, but mostly pretty
predictable.
Took some neos as usual, and then we spent maybe
20 minutes trying to find a nice hp pouch for Pet, who simply couldn't make up her mind. But we all managed to get some stuff, if not it would have been such a wasted trip.
Oh yes, before I forget, I've gotten my
math test back already.
(Yi Lun was so hyped about it :X) So anyway, I'd like to say a
nice big Thanks to Ming, Chay Ling, & Pet for support. :) Ming was telling me how math tests usually
don't matter in life anymore when we grow up, and Chay was telling me to find more marks cos there might be some hidden, and when I did find some, Pet was telling me to chill and be steady. :D So
thanks you guys.
And by the way, I passed. :) Glory to God! ~

I don't know why, but I was feeling really
stressed up today, so much I almost wanted to
cry. Firstly, & mainly, because I think I might not be able to finish all my homework in time, because my
music stuff is really taking
too much of my time, & secondly, I just cannot understand
relations & functions! It's so
super frustrating how I
try & try, but I can't just
get it! And it
doesn't help at all when my violin teacher is getting more & more peeved at me, for my lack of practice. It doesn't
even help at all when I haven't started doing my theory, and I have classes very soon. It
doesn't help, when people can stay up
all night watching shows while I
have to sleep at 10.30pm sharp or I won't be able to concentrate tomorrow. Nothing seems to work this time.
Oh well, I'll just start praying about this, & in the end,
God will turn it all around for good. I'm just going through a pretty rough time, but hey, times like this help us survive when we grow up, yeah?
And anyway, I can make it through the rain..

I had a
terrible math test today. It was so terrible I can't even speak of it. At first, when I tried it out, I couldn't do the whole of qns 2,4,5,6, and by the way, there were only 8 qns. I almost slapped myself. >.<
Ughh. But thankfully after I realised there was still 15 mins left, I tried it out, & managed some of them.
Sigh. Math tests always make me feel rotten at the end of the day. I must try to brush up I guess. It's going to be
so uphill.
At least my violin has improved. Whew. At first I could tell Ms Nui was pretty peeved at me, cos I haven't been practising at all, but thankfully just before the lesson I practised a little, so I could play
reasonably well. I still haven't started practising for my piano exam!! I'm
so dead. Some times I really wish I could sail away to Antartica or something, and
stay there forever.
Anyway, I just knew that my tuition teacher has
given birth!! Whoo hoo!! It's a
boy! He's called Joshua, & the next time I go over to her place I can get to see him!! Hehe. Must be really cute, & he'll most probably be really smart too, like my teacher! (:
Tomorrow is Janell & Sherlyn's birthday, so here's wishing them an exciting day tomorrow! I love birthdays! (:

I had a short little
Lit. quiz today. It's really
freaky how I didn't know about
half of the whole quiz. I was about to start panicking when I remembered hearing some people getting 5/20 for the quiz, & laughing about it. I'm not so sure what they were laughing about, but it at least consoled me to know that even if I
failed, it might actually be a
normal thing, & not that I'm a sufferer of some
severe brain disease that eats up half my brain everyday. =.+
I still have
so much homework to finish I don't know what I'm doing here. My music exam's coming soon, & I'm still
not practising regularly. If I fail it, all I have to say is I
deserved it. If practice makes perfect, no practice means
failure, & it doesn't take a genius to figure
that one out.

I just realised what my mum & sis had for lunch today. They actually ate
abalone, those fat big ones!
Eww. And they ate them
for lunch!! What's my family becoming to. It's not the season for abalone, & besides, abalone
for lunch just sucks. I myself am not a fan of abalone, it's too chewy, & the taste is funny. I'm glad I ate lunch in school today (with Petrina & Chay Ling). It was just plain ol' fried rice & veg. for me! (: I might actually live longer.
Spent about half an hour today chatting with Charlene after school. And she tried testing me a little on Joy Luck Club. I've heard a lot of people don't have the book yet, & for me, I'm not so sure even if I
have the book I will do well fot that little quiz. I don't have time to study. I was actually called a
mugger by two people today, Ming & Charlene. But the problem is they don't see that if I
don't do my homework during school hours
immediately, I won't be able to do it any time else. I don't even have time for some
life. It's seriously spent on piano, violin, tuitionS, & some sports activities. The only free time I have is most probably
now, & just before I sleep. I don't even have time to
study! And I'm a
student.
Argh. This is the main
irony of life.

I had
Flag Day on Saturday, & it was a
whirlwind of activity! At first me & Chay Ling were suppose to do with Denise & Rachel Annabel, but after we got our tins, we couldn't find them anywhere, so we just hung around a little at the Red Cross House, looking for anyone who wanted to come along with us. Then Charlene asked me to go with her, but again we couldn't find her!
Argh. So me & Chay Ling went ourselves. We knew that many people would be heading off to
Orchard or
Junction 8 so we tried choosing somewhere along the NEL line, which was quite "deserted", where no one else would want to go. Then we thought of Hougang! It was so funny trying to decide the place. :) At first we thought of Chinatown, but obviously it wouldn't have worked, cos it would have been too "happening", so we stayed at Hougang for about half an hour, & I must say
half of the donations in our tin came from there!
We moved off after a while to
Chinatown, & then there were so many people around asking for donations as well. So we went to Bedok-
East Coast Park! Can you imagine the distance we travelled? And it was 11 am in the morning, it was so
hot! But it was all in the name of charity, so it was worth it. Me & Chay Ling were so
super tired, cos we couldn't find the Underpass to East Coast Park, & ended up walking around aimlessly. When we finally found it, it was definitely
sweet success. Chay Ling couldn't stop smiling & laughing. Freaky. =D
After we finished our Flag Day, we returned our tins & met Jing Xuan, Gillian & 2 of their friends, all scrambling around asking for some donations. I had already donated about $4.60 into my own tin, & spent about $4 on transport that day, above all I had only $1.60 worth of coins. So all 4 of them were begging us to put some into their tins. All my coins that day were
gone already. And one of them even said that since I was in their Geog. class, if I donated, they promised to
take care of me. (",) Sounded like some Loanshark deal. >.<
Then Chay Ling & I went all over the Somerset- Orchard area looking for some where to eat, & we couldn't even find the MacDonalds in Suntec! It was so
exhausting. So I called my sis to ask where she was (she also had Flag Day that day), & she was in Junction 8. Sigh. And when I called I actually heard a
guy's voice at the background, like really close to the phone so it couldn't have been a passer-by!
Ha! Caught her. =X I should be a spy one day, like those little Spy Kids on tv yesterday. >.<
