I didn't go school on thursday, and I am
so thankful friday was a rg school holiday, or I would have to miss it again. -whew
Ok, I have decided to write what happened to me, so that people reading this won't have to ask for the long story again, because it
is pretty long. I can't stay long on the computer, unless I want to go blind or something, so I'll make this short. :)
But first, I really got to thank people like
ming and
pet. They did some really
awesome things for me. Thank you
so much ming, for meeting me at the mrt station and travelling
all the way from home just to pass me my homework! I really
really appreciate that, and I really thought you were out already! You really didn't have to come all the way, I could have gone to your place too :( But yeah, so I was very shocked when she told me she was going home after coming from home just to hand me my homework!
Thank you. (: (:
During school, the
slackvillian population was sms-ing me to tell me how friday was a school holiday, and to get well soon & everything. (: thanks
rachie,
petti, and
huan-ie :b It wasn't so bad lying at home knowing you've got friends to talk to. And then
pet typed out the english compre. answers for me just so I could mark it at home! When I got the email I was very shocked. Thanks so much pet. :)
And after school, when carmen & pet realised I was at the A&E ward at SGH, they were so
frantic! :b Relax guys, you should know I'll be fine (: But thanks for the concern. (:
Ok, so it started wednesday, with my right eye having this really
blurred vision. The doc said it had something to do with being overworked or something like that, so the nerve behind the eye got a little cranky. So anyway, I was beginning to get
hysterical, because I couldn't
see my own hand at a certain angle from my eye. It was as if there was water in my eye and I couldn't blink it off. So I decided to
chill and get some sleep. When I work up, I had this migraine- my teeth and gums and
nose hurt.
(The you-can-just-cry-and-die sort of pain) SO I continued sleeping until mum decided it was impossible for me to go school the next day.
I woke up at 12 on thur and rushed to the doc, who
freaked me out when he said he was referring me to the A&E ward at SGH as an
emergency case cos blurred vision was quote "
no laughing matter". So my poor mum and me had to rush to the hospital. I think my mum was
convinced I would be blind or something, cos for the entire journey she kept blaming my late nights and computer sessions. And when we reached there, my temperature was
38.7 degrees, which was quite freaky, so the nurse just looked at me, but then she allowed me in. (I knew I looked healthy :b) And somehow, we skipped by the many people waiting for treatment and I got immediate consultation. I was amazed. I didn't think blurred vision was so serious.
Saw the eye specialist, and she
dumped lots and
lots of different coloured liquids in my eye. Ouch. And she kept shining funny lights into my eye, to test the pressure and the retina etc etc. Turns out my nerve is ok, so no worries. -whew
Then I had to run to another specialist, who was checking the migraine bit. They kept lamenting about how I was "
only 15", and "
so young" etc. -__-" I think it is uncommon for teenagers to have that bad a migraine, so they were wondering what was wrong.
In the end, the doc gave me some reference to KK Hospital, should my vision problem ever occur again. They worry me.
But other than not being able to study for very long and look at the computer for a longer time (this is the final time for the whole week.), I shall recover
most definitely. (: I shall resume my studying on monday after I recover
fully.
Sigh. I have been listening to Mozart's Sonatas, Waldtaufel's & Stauss's orchestral Waltzes
(Estudiantina, Les Sirenes, Dolores) the
whole of yesterday, today and
tomorrow. The house is
filled with
orchestras of the Overtures to
'La Fille Du Yambour Major'. >.< That's all I can do at the moment, listen, dream, and play my piano (: Life ain't so bad actually.
Oh yes, and currently my brother is hobbling around the house because of the
9 stitches on his shin, and my sister's temperature is
39.1 degrees, and I am having difficulty forcing the medicine down my throat & sneezing like crazy lol. My poor mum. As if she doesn't have enough problems with her nerves, and now she's got
3 invalids in the house. >.<
When it rains, it
pours.
