Went to the
Festival of Praise @ indoor stadium on saturday. Turnout was crazy.
11000 people all gathering around.. Rachie, clara and me were barely 3cm away from the next person, and add that to loads of prespiration and the occasional breeze and the hot hot
hot tropical sun, and we were pretty baked. And we stood outside queueing for about an hour. Time positively
crawled.

Rachie's artistic shot (:

Clara and me, waiting under the hot sun.
But it was totally worth it! Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't all about just getting really high and jumping around. It truly was a gathering to pray and worship God in unison.
Though I couldn't really appreciate the opening band Delirious (it was way too rock for me,) Hillsongs was great, and we "met" Darlene backstage! I was like
NO WAY. *squeals squeals*
Turns out rachie had this
brilliant idea to leave like, 2 minutes before everyone did, and then we went all the way down instead of some other staircase, and
tadaa! Found ourselves backstage, with darlene and her band being rushed off! We were like,
5 metres away from her!
Thankfully we didn't look like terrorists or something, because the security personnel around her just gave us a look. Maybe they could tell I was holding my chem textbook lol. Lucky sab was so kind as to take my chi zhi dian home. I wouldn't be caught
dead holding it around, that ugly huge thing.

the size of the crowd..

rachie, clara, me!
(thanks rachie for the pics!)

This is rev. colin dye. His sermon was really powerful, and had me nodding my head every minute.. It was about how Moses thought he was a
Nobody for 40 years of his life while trying to lead his people out of Egypt, only to realise that he could be a
Somebody with God. It was all about making God known, and forget all about our own inhibitions.
Soli deo gloria!
