here I go
screaming my lungs out
trying to let you know
That I'm letting go…
Who can be my hero
Knight in immaculate suits of Indifference
Flanking Malevolence with a lance laced with venom
Slaying fire-breathing dragons.
Devoted to the orgies of Self-destruction. ___________________________________________
I GOT MY INTERNET BACK!! Congratulate me!! I couldn't resist but blog about today, even though everyone's watching Lost (taped) now..

Anyway, today's
netball practice was
great, as usual. I've got some issues I need to work out with myself. The first being this heavy,
burdensome shackle that leaves me chained to the pathetic routine of catching my own rebounds because I never think the ball will go in. If there's anyone with a
lower confidence in shooting, well, I have yet to find someone..
The second is having this bizarre and most unfortunate tendency to run out of "
home". I feel pretty useless waiting for that ball to drop into my court actually. But
oh well. I think I shall stop listing my weaknesses here, lest opponents chance upon this. But still, my
Achilles' heel is absurdly prominent.
How encouraging. And I have to
squeal over the fantastic display of first-rate skills at the game today (:
If no one's interested, please click the X at the top right corner. It really isn't difficult to find. Anyway...
Presenting 410's saturday practice players!
First there's
huannie, who is a very,
very cool GA. (: She catches my rebounds, I catch hers, and she shoots!
Whoo..
Euphoria alert! Huannie is also
very good at knowing when I'm not concentrating, or when I'm concentrating on catching my rebound rather than getting it through the net. I don't know how she does it, but she does, and it's very fun shooting with her! You rock huannie. (:
Lohan and
Vanessa are
very steady shooters. And I mean,
steady. Looks pretty effortless I say, and they have quiet confidence that makes you feel sure they will get that ball in. (:
Eleanor sort of
flies around the court. (: She's everywhere, and she literally flies to catch the ball. She's also
really alert, definitely someone with ball sense!
Sher and
rng are very insistent defenders. sher jumps higher and higher each time, and rng has that killer throw that you feel can
break your neck if you don't catch her ball. >.<
Aster, yx, muddy and ming are really fast wingers. They have amazing stamina, and intercepting is
very beautiful to watch (:
Watching today's friendly netball matches was a great feeling. The exhilaration in interception seriously gets you euphoric.
Who needs drugs anymore? :P Ok, anyway, I have a new favourite violin piece! Arthur Grumiaux plays an extremely inspiring Traumerei (Schumann), and he can so very aptly communicate with the pianist (Istvan Hajdu) to deliver something so velvety it's like spun silk.
I guess some people were just born to play the violin, and others can just sit out and watch the masters (i.e. me). But hey, life wasn't meant to be fair. You win some, you lose a lot more- there's the philosophy of life for you.
I know the first time I heard the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, with Itzhak Perlman playing that crying violin, play the theme song of Schindler's List, I kind of cried a little. The violin was weeping through the pain suffered by those 6 million Jews, and you can feel the coldness of the harmony creeping up to you, so slowly you don't even know it's there until you're in the middle of the piece. I read somewhere that it's incorrect that 6 million Jews were murdered. 1 Jew was murdered, over 6 million times.
That just leaves you feeling, well, cold.
Who has the right to dream anymore..
