Inspiring thoughts(thanks ed!)Everyone has beauty but not everyone sees it. Love is the only thing that can be divided without being diminished. All people smile in the same language.Happiness is enhanced by others but does not depend upon others. Everyone needs to be loved... especially when they do not deserve it. Thank God for what you have, TRUST GOD for what you need. God always gives His best to those who leave the choice with Him. The real measure of a man's wealth is what he has invested in eternity. For every minute you are angry with someone, you lose 60 seconds of
happiness that you can never get back.

Been out every day, and I have had to replenish my wallet so many times that
Guilt has reared its ugly head, so now I'm moping in my room with nothing to do except read the
Great Gatesby, which isn't exactly
punishment since it's such a solid good read, but oh well. I shall watch
Joy Luck Club later on, after I've watched Possession the third time today.
my cramps are killing me. It's like going into labour, seriously. I don't usually have cramps but this year my brain decides to register terrible pains, and so here I am. I just want to crawl up into a hole and die there.Perhaps my feeling like everything's wrong with the world comes from the fact that I've realised the true extent of hypocrisy, and boy is it ugly. I mean, how horribly insincere can a person get? But I have decided not to let it bother me, although it doesn't really help. Maybe I shall build up a wall, so no one hears me talk about stuff like this. In future, just don't read the small prints. My bro is watching teen titans for the second time. It's a great cartoon actually. Everyone should live their second childhood and watch teen titans. It's majorly cool.

Was scouting around for pilates classes when I remembered I was having this problem defining the ambiguous, elusive emotion so fondly called Love.
And then, I realised that if every one of us called someone right now, to tell them that
they are loved, and
if tomorrow never comes, we'll have
no regrets about today..
If I knew...Kapil MoudgilIf I knew it would be the
last timeI'd see you walk out the door
I would
hug you and
kiss you
and call you back for one more.
If I knew it would be the last time
to spare an extra minute or two with you
I'd stop and say, "
I love you"
Instead of assuming that you know I do.
For surely there is tomorrow to make up for an oversight and we'll always get a second chance to make everything alright. But
just in case I might be wrong
and today is
all I getI'd like to say how much
I love youand hope we
never forget..
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone
young or old alike
and today might be
your last chanceto hold your loved one
tight.

Going out 3 days in a row from morning till evening is very
very tiring. Recounting past events is actually difficult cos these few days have been very "
happening", to say it in local terms.
Post-prom mini party was
extremely wacked out. We had barely
3 hours of sleep, and then we blogged on sumae's journal, which is now posted as evidence for the world what
sleep deprivation can do to us. We pigged out on haagen daaz ice cream while watching 3 vcds
in a row.
It is very trying indeed to sit next to tanneh while watching, because both of us have never watched a horror film before, so whenever the scary music plays, she'll just squeal in fright and grab my arm, which is
way more
frightening than the movie lol.
The best had to be
Love Actually, which was chock
full of people to drool about, and the best part is that all of us have fallen in
lust love over the italian
hot hunk called karl or carl. But there were too many cute guys to pick from, fortunately. Sumae can stick with bald people, Sooneh with goofy hugh grants. I will have to compete with dear tanneh, but since I'm more inclined towards keira knightley (do
not read this the wrong way pls), we're square.

my
babes.
PromI took about 150 photos before my camera officially broke down and
wept, so I couldn't take any of our
sultry, smothering,
sexay shots with them! Sobs. It was darn funny because we were only this much [_] closer to looking hookerish. That was all about getting drunk and high without the liquor. We were like "more leg
more leg!". "okay
1, 2, 3 POUT". Oh gosh.

a saner shot from soomeh's cam..
Then we
paraded down the stretch of orchard road in our heels and clutches and sparkly stuff in a row, and
single-handedly took on the stares and whispers and sniggers. (: That was
darn fun, because it seriously beefed up our egos. So there we were
swaggering away like nobody's business, and it felt
good. Sometimes doing crazy stupid stuff can get you seriously high. I mean, who needs drugs these days..

mr. toh's students! (:

sher and cher. (:
aster! Haha about 6 hours before prom, aster was worrying about her nail colour etc over msn! She painted a few coats then took a picture to show me. Haha it was really cute..

ming of the ming-nasty and me.

(
catcalls) go janell!!

Had great
photowhoring sessions with xiaoyu, ming and janell!

glor! brown eyed girl.

white shoes! Me and eleanor both wore black gowns with white shoes! way cool.

presenting ms humorous!

I love my uncle. A lot.

e jing (: met her at hollywood secrets too!
Prom preparations were seriously fun. I spent 4 hours at Paragon's hollywood secrets getting my hair dyed, manicure, pedicure, make up, hair styling.. It was way fun! And then this whole group of rgs girls entered, and my hair stylist
eriq was saying how I probably spent the most.
Hmmp I didn't know it was his bounding duty to wake my guilty conscience, but oh well.
And he was a little piqued that I didn't want any copper or mahogany tones.
ERIQ!

pedi. hurts. I shall not try it again.
Ok enough about prom and photos. It was all about painted swans anyway.
So far I've watched 3 movies in a row. There goes my bag money..

[turn up speakers] Playing
I'll be there for you (bon jovi)I guess this time you're really leaving
I heard your suitcase say goodbye
Well as my broken heart lies bleeding
You say
true love, it's
suicideYou say you've cried a thousand rivers
And now you're swimming for the shoreYou left me drowning in my tears
And you won't save me anymore
I pray to God you'll give me one more chance
I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you
When you breathe
I want to be the air for you
I'll be there for you
I'd live and I'd die for you
Steal the sun from the sky for you Words can't say what a love can do I'll be there for you
I know you know we're had some good times Now they have their own hiding place I can't promise you tomorrow But I can't buy back yesterday And Baby you know my hands are dirty
But I wanted to be your valentine
I'll be the water when you get thirsty, baby
When you get drunk, I'll be the wine
And I wasn't there when you were happy
I wasn't there when you were down
I didn't mean to miss your birthday, baby
I wish I'd seen you blow those candles out
I'll be there for you

oliver twist with
tracy today! Meeting up with dear trace was fantastic! We did loads of catching up, like juicy gossip (haha!) and new acquaintances and lots of
nice people msg-ing (
arhemm). (:
I was dragging beethoven's sonatas around wisma after piano lesson, then we met up at the mrt station to go for a little window-shopping. We had hardly finished with the "
how are you"s when this lady came up right in front of us, shoved a name card into my hands and told us we were QUOTE
fresh faces UNQUOTE. Yeah the
modelling thing. I was thinking "you haven't looked closer, because my face is definitely
far from
fresh", and
no way was I giving her my number, and that's why she promptly
snatched back the name card.
Friendly I say. Tracy- you go for it girl ;)

So anyway,
oliver twist was rather interesting, and
yes, almost everyone in the movie (save for mr. brownlowe) looked grimy and half starved to death. The scenes were very vivid, and the acting convincing.
Barney Clark is a good oliver, most definitely. He never drifted into adorable-cutesy mode or rely on overwrought emotions to play his scenes at all, which is truly remarkable actually.
Roman Polanski is a gifted director. He can escape any cute sentimentality and really dig deep to show the harsh reality of London. Go watch!
Before the movie, we went to the usual places like esprit (I got mum a black leather wallet on sale! It's
gorgeous.), zara, topshop etc etc, which can get pretty boring and predictable unless you have good company (: Tracy introduced me to mos burger's
iced milk tea, which I have to admit is pretty thirst-quenching.

tracy cringing. She was desperate to stir the milk.. ;)

the iced tea with milk on the top!
ohh i like..Oh yes, and tracy got a haircut at supercuts (far east)! It was funky, and spiked! Unfortunately she claims she's too lazy to wax it up so it stays in all its spiked-up glory.

the
'before' shot (haha I'm good at all these sneaky shots..)

tracy and mr hairdryer!
Tracy I forgot to tell you I think he looks like a movie star in real life! heh.

I told her most people with spiked-up hair need a
strong character to pull it off, and going by the people I know who do have that hairstyle, it would seem so!

a
mirror shot at zara! Tracy is good at mirror shots. (I was like "
look where look where??!) The last time I tried a mirror shot was at j8 with
xiaoyu, wearing shades and using my hp cam. The reflection of the hp was the main focus in the shot lol.

tracy modelling the taitai 2half-inch heels.
Sorry I think this shot's really amusing..
her dream shoes. Purple Suede..
Love you tracy!Advertisement: Budak Pantai's Christmas concert at esplanade!

THROUGH IT ALL
I've had many
tears and
sorrows,
I've had
questions for tomorrow,
There've been times I didn't know right from wrong.
But in every situation,
God gave blessed consolation,
That my trials only come to
make me strong.
I've been a lot of places,
And seen so many faces,
There've been times I've felt so all alone.
But in that lonely hour,
In that precious lonely hour,
Jesus let me know I was His own.
Through it all,
I've learned to trust in Jesus,
I've learned to trust in God.
I've learned to depend upon His Word.
So I thank God for the mountains,
And I thank Him for the valleys,
Thank Him for the storms He's brought me through.
If I never had a problem.
Wouldn't know that He could solve them,
Wouldn't know what faith in His Word could do._________________________

parisAfter reading today's ST article on the riots in France, and how Paris is relatively unscathed by terrorism, it just brings me all the way back to Paris again,
laughing and
prancing on those well-worn streets, shopping and shaking my head at the exorbitant prices, seriously
gushing over everything Paris..
How many will experience Paris before something happens, before some people destroy a place so beautiful..
But I have memories in me,
just in case.Just in case.

But they aren't really worth anything, except
to me. I can't write them down, I can't describe them, because when I do, I lose the
beauty of the indefinite.
How do you describe something that makes you feel
liberated, so
full of the life in this world, yet so strangely
alone?
It wasn't so much of the
romance of the Eiffel tower, or the picturesque settings we were in, but the
knowledge that the beauty of the world can be found in the place you stand upon, and you know
for certain, that this beauty is so ephemeral, because you have all this ugliness in a wretched world waiting for you, and you are caught in the pages of Yesterday, only because Today may be over
in a second.
the man in the street - who really knows?Paris is
not a place, not a tourist location, not a
money-spinning land of false hopes, fantasies and delusions. Paris is an
ideal, and in it you can capture the essence of humanity in the history, in the people who
breathe the history of the Revolution, of the opulence and affluence, of the disease and malady, of the inequality, and the strife..
this is paris The blood of the people oppressed has dried, and who will be surprised if more is spilled?
No one can kill an ideal. They can destroy lives, architecture, structures, monuments, but
no one can destroy an ideal.

lourve

purple vibrant blooms.
i'm going back there someday..
No one but those who still live and know what Paris represents- for humanity, and
for the individual.

Have been busy these days, leaving me no time to update on fantastic happenings on the last day of school (
drools).
The coolest thing was the band that performed-
West Grand Boulevard to be exact. There was me, huannie, pet, sher, ming and van
right in front of the stage screaming like maniacs whenever
ERIK of wgb (guitarist) looked our way. We would just keep jumping and screaming and
screaming..

see the madness?

it was like a real concert!
Upon request, I took about
34 shots of him jamming lol. And I have one where he LOOKS AT MY CAMERA and SMILES.
My gosh, my heart stopped at that moment, and I was like
snap snap snap, like some crazed paparazzi. I think he knew we were his fans with the undying devotion, because we intentionally stood as close as we could get to him and just jumped and screamed. Oh gosh that was really wild.
Then again, if you consider the people right at the middle of the crowd who were Quote
molesting Unquote the lead of Ronin, I think our devotion mild in comparison.
But naturally, after the whole mini-concert, we ran backstage to get another glimpse of
erik. And then I met the lead singer of Ronin, who was suffering from deafness as well (we all were). He was asking me how was the performance, and I had to shout to him that it was great a few times before he could hear. (:
We couldn't find him, so being crazy fans, we ran back to the stage, and got his autograph! Haha I even grabbed the song list they sang! Whoohoo!

the autograph!

erik's signature on a tie!!

the lead from wgb!
Everyone chant with me:
erikerikerikerikerikerikerikerikerikerikerik (grins happily)

ERIK.

ditto.

whooo hoo..
Class clean-up was extremely
asthma-inducing. But we got to take pictures!

see me??

anntay rebonded her hair! everyone was going
so chioooo :)

ahaha I love this shot..

me and alfieee

me and steph, and me and steph in the photo!

chuwen!

glor (:

and we all went wild..

the results. :D
Last day of school- went out with ming, alfie, rng and huannie to look for prom dresses for ming and huannie. And we finally got huannie to try on a dress, which she looked very glam in btw (:

waiting outside for huannie...

trust me, she did look good..
Class outing We went ice-skating for about 2 hours, and those who didn't know how to skate learnt really quickly. They were skating around the rink by themselves by the first half hour! And steph was bent on me teaching her how to glide, and she did it! These people are incredible.

sabby's COOL new SPECS!

aster was brushing up on her self-taking skills ;)

went to the
arcade!
we played the para para sakura thingy, which was very fun cos we have 5 people playing, and yet we couldn't get the high score!

Then some of us went
k-box, and we sang for 5 hours straight! All the jay chou, lin jun jie,
ze tao tao ze
aka tao ji ji (haha xiaoyu!), and other chinese singers I have never heard before.. And of course, westlife songs for sabby!
whee..
