oliver twist with
tracy today! Meeting up with dear trace was fantastic! We did loads of catching up, like juicy gossip (haha!) and new acquaintances and lots of
nice people msg-ing (
arhemm). (:
I was dragging beethoven's sonatas around wisma after piano lesson, then we met up at the mrt station to go for a little window-shopping. We had hardly finished with the "
how are you"s when this lady came up right in front of us, shoved a name card into my hands and told us we were QUOTE
fresh faces UNQUOTE. Yeah the
modelling thing. I was thinking "you haven't looked closer, because my face is definitely
far from
fresh", and
no way was I giving her my number, and that's why she promptly
snatched back the name card.
Friendly I say. Tracy- you go for it girl ;)

So anyway,
oliver twist was rather interesting, and
yes, almost everyone in the movie (save for mr. brownlowe) looked grimy and half starved to death. The scenes were very vivid, and the acting convincing.
Barney Clark is a good oliver, most definitely. He never drifted into adorable-cutesy mode or rely on overwrought emotions to play his scenes at all, which is truly remarkable actually.
Roman Polanski is a gifted director. He can escape any cute sentimentality and really dig deep to show the harsh reality of London. Go watch!
Before the movie, we went to the usual places like esprit (I got mum a black leather wallet on sale! It's
gorgeous.), zara, topshop etc etc, which can get pretty boring and predictable unless you have good company (: Tracy introduced me to mos burger's
iced milk tea, which I have to admit is pretty thirst-quenching.

tracy cringing. She was desperate to stir the milk.. ;)

the iced tea with milk on the top!
ohh i like..Oh yes, and tracy got a haircut at supercuts (far east)! It was funky, and spiked! Unfortunately she claims she's too lazy to wax it up so it stays in all its spiked-up glory.

the
'before' shot (haha I'm good at all these sneaky shots..)

tracy and mr hairdryer!
Tracy I forgot to tell you I think he looks like a movie star in real life! heh.

I told her most people with spiked-up hair need a
strong character to pull it off, and going by the people I know who do have that hairstyle, it would seem so!

a
mirror shot at zara! Tracy is good at mirror shots. (I was like "
look where look where??!) The last time I tried a mirror shot was at j8 with
xiaoyu, wearing shades and using my hp cam. The reflection of the hp was the main focus in the shot lol.

tracy modelling the taitai 2half-inch heels.
Sorry I think this shot's really amusing..
her dream shoes. Purple Suede..
