Nope I haven't died yet. This is just to inform everyone that my computer has
crashed. Boomed. Died.
Whatever. I won't be blogging for a while (using school's computer is irritating me.) I suppose this is the punishment for my negative attitude towards technology. But I said it once, and
I'll say it again.
Technology sucks.. Com crashed because I stupidly deleted some files needed for microsoft to run, and because I foolishly passworded my the dumb computer, I mught never be able to save my files. All of them, gone just like that. All the songs, poems, essays, school assignments (but who really cares), photos, g o n e. How about that. ___________________________________________________________________________

CHOIR SEC 4 FAREWELL PARTYSo it has come, and so it has gone.
Why oh why.. Loads of people have made me
promise to post these pictures up, so I shall be prompt with it.
Thank you choir for coming for the party. It meant the world to the sec4s, and it was fantastic. (:
Here are the pictures! Everyone in it are the most
special, funkiest, coolest,
best-looking people around, and it was truly an honour to take these memories along with me..

'some other time' anyway. .

My Rants1. I hate technology. My computer died on me again, and now it's chewing my cd up, and refusing to unleash it back to me. In other words, it's being irritating.
2. I dislike the guy selling noodles in J8 Food Junction. (Just ask Alfie.) I mean, I bought his chicken noodles, and then he asks me whether I'm from Korea, and goes right on to say I look like those girls he sees on korean tv. Where in the world would he have seen korean tv? I mean, I do not look like a korean girl.
Hmmp. I obviously don't have an autumn in my heart, spring in my kidney, or winter in my lungs for that matter, so yup.
The end.3. My farewell presents are going down the drain..... Have I mentioned how I hate technology.
Well, on to happier stuff..

The Handmaid's Tale!^My Lit. group buddies! Janessa n anntay ;) We totally rock.

i catch people at the wrong moments. everyone was closing their eyes here lol

yummm we all had different flavours..

We wanted to go catch Charlie and the Choc Factory at lido, but they were all out until 5 something, so we comforted ourselves just by sitting outside Cineleisure movie theater eating salted popcorn, which weren't very salted.. how upsetting.
Loved national day..

Went to the
Festival of Praise @ indoor stadium on saturday. Turnout was crazy.
11000 people all gathering around.. Rachie, clara and me were barely 3cm away from the next person, and add that to loads of prespiration and the occasional breeze and the hot hot
hot tropical sun, and we were pretty baked. And we stood outside queueing for about an hour. Time positively
crawled.

Rachie's artistic shot (:

Clara and me, waiting under the hot sun.
But it was totally worth it! Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't all about just getting really high and jumping around. It truly was a gathering to pray and worship God in unison.
Though I couldn't really appreciate the opening band Delirious (it was way too rock for me,) Hillsongs was great, and we "met" Darlene backstage! I was like
NO WAY. *squeals squeals*
Turns out rachie had this
brilliant idea to leave like, 2 minutes before everyone did, and then we went all the way down instead of some other staircase, and
tadaa! Found ourselves backstage, with darlene and her band being rushed off! We were like,
5 metres away from her!
Thankfully we didn't look like terrorists or something, because the security personnel around her just gave us a look. Maybe they could tell I was holding my chem textbook lol. Lucky sab was so kind as to take my chi zhi dian home. I wouldn't be caught
dead holding it around, that ugly huge thing.

the size of the crowd..

rachie, clara, me!
(thanks rachie for the pics!)

This is rev. colin dye. His sermon was really powerful, and had me nodding my head every minute.. It was about how Moses thought he was a
Nobody for 40 years of his life while trying to lead his people out of Egypt, only to realise that he could be a
Somebody with God. It was all about making God known, and forget all about our own inhibitions.
Soli deo gloria!

ENCORE: the best concert I've ever performed in.
(Most probably the last one I ever will.)
My family enjoyed the concert so much, my bro wanted to watch it again. Mum said the audience laughed every 15 seconds, which was fantastic.. But I think her favourite character was the squid in Under the Sea. She laughed until she teared. The irony.
The concert was awesome because everyone put in their own 101%, and though there were glitches, we charged ahead with the stamina of an rgs choirgirl. That's ultimately what counted.
I've got a few pictures, as well as videos of Nutella, I Believe, and Song of the Mira. Choir, if any of you want to hear how we sounded, I'll send it to you online ;)
Meanwhile, presenting the RGS choir, in picture!

Dearest RGS choir,
Thank you for all the effort, the tears, the laughter, the song and dance.
Thank you for not giving up, and for your wonderful voices, all of us singing as one.
Thank you for dancing with all the confidence we wanted you to have, and for singing like we always have been singing.
Thank you TWOS, for the awesome sectional item. Through we almost cracked during rehearsals, we practised, practised practised, and WE DID IT.
We looked great on stage, and I wouldn't have done it any other way.
Thank you Nutella, for being as we always have been, NUTS. We rocked the house, and we did it together. It was terrific.
Thank you sop 2s, for putting up with me in the changing room, and for singing your bits so so very well. I'm honoured that you will trust me with putting on your makeup. :)
Thank you xinzi, for being such a great co- SL. I loved every bit of our sectional item, and I wouldn't change anything for anything else.
Thank you yi lyn, soomeh and yi lun for making this all happen. You know you rock. And boy, did you guys SHINE.
Thank you xiumz, for all our conducting, and the panicking beforehand. You conduct like a dream. And thanks for staying with me during the toilet time. I appreciate that! (:
Thank you sooneh, for always giving me a hug, and asking me whether I was fine. I was, but it was nice knowing you cared.
Thank you Zan and tanneh, for standing beside me during our combined. I drew strength from you guys. And by the way, I conveniently stood further away from the hanging mike, so technically it was tanneh's voice that was picked up. (laughs)
Thank you cat, vera, michelle, carolyn for helping me with my wheel! The black bits were so last minute, but it's done! And it looked great ;)
Thank you rgs choir, for the memories. Rest assured I'll hold them close, always.

encore is
over. /
04 August 2005
8:17 PM
Encore is
tomorrow. And everyone is totally drained we even sing with our eyes closed.
I shall make this quick before I scoot off to practise songs..
My mum saw some of the photos I took of the comm, choir etc, and suddenly she said "remember to have fun", which struck me as really weird. Aren't we all having lots of fun, putting up our very own concert, performing on stage, laughing, planning etc etc?
Maybe we didn't look happy, or maybe everyone was
too tired to remember to be
happy. Whatever it is, I'll just pray and be glad that I worked with the
MOST FANTASTIC COMMITTEE in this world. Yes, that means
YILYN SOOMEH XINZI YILUN XIUMZ. They are fantastic people, and it was great working with you guys. You made choir
happen.Script writers: Sooneh tanneh- The script will be a roaring success. It
already is.
That's all I've allocated time for.. So Encore will come, and go, and we'll be left with the memories. As with everything else.
GO RGS CHOIR! we can do it. ________________________________

today, i lived the second
worst day of my life. i don't know why, but for some strange reason, i was kept in a constant state of worry that my tear-inducing stress would erupt, leaving me with an empty shell after all the boiling lava goes (bad analogy, but wt.) I have never been like this before, and today things just went all wrong. I was torn between laughing everything away, and crying everything away, while pretending I was laughing, which doesn't make any sense, but again, I don't seem to care. I don't even seem to care whether I fail my SPAs, lit pt, mocks, whatever.
Seriously.
I have come to a point where
fatigue isn't just something I can reckon with, but never mind that. I can't die just yet. Maybe in a year's time. (
No this isn't suicidal.) There will come a time when high blood pressure or some cardiac arrest would seize me, and if that happens before I say my goodbyes, I'll say it first. Life is as good as it gets, and I'm going to make the best out of it. The only question is HOW.
*afternote: how absolutely distressing. I have been reduced to a master at whining and cowering in the face of adversity. excuse me while i go sit in a corner and do some serious reflections. Wait. there isn't time for that..
