Mothers' Day was pretty cool! Went Raffles City to get my long overdue haircut and hang out with my mum. Decided that it would be really cool if we were colour coded, so when she wore her black top with khaki pants, I decided to wear a black tee and brown jeans haha! She was a little alarmed, but oh well (: Weird looks were a given though.

I decided to cook a cool mothers' day lunch for my family using the purple cabbage shawn gave me and the carrots from my class (yes there are still some left over!). So I came up with this brilliant plan for my dish- dump everything into the rice cooker and just cook lah.

Can you believe the purple cabbage coloured my rice PURPLE?? We ate purple rice!! It was extremely discomforting, but since it was entirely out of love, mum consented to eating it. Didn't taste that bad okay! (:
