Was doing my
IS (well just reading mainly) then I fell asleep on the table, just like that. And I woke up two hours later and I couldn't move my neck so I was panicking like mad because I thought I would have to live with a twisted neck for life. Insane pain so I just stayed that way. My bro thought I was mad. Maybe I am.
Anyway so I'm trying to decipher this reading which is terrible. I can spend half a minute reading a para and converting it to simple english for easy digestion. I used to love all this
academic speak because, as nerdy as it sounds, fluent words are very appealing and very fun to interpret. The wealth of meaning in a single line of words has a nice sophistication to it.
But after reading pages and pages of stuff like that.. I want to throw myself at the wall, knock myself out, and wake up with a normal neck again.
Similarly unexpected is the fact that it is a scholar of antiquity, a specialist in classical archaeology and philology, who should be asking these questions, since the first centuries of the formation of the modern concept of art were inextricably entangled with the history of origin of his fields:
With the humanist reception of antique art, the foundations of the authority of classical artworks, and their canonization.
I fell asleep reading that very sentence. It is just one sentence.
